Nadaun: First time in MVM Nadaun celebrated Workers' Day

International Workers' Day or Labour Day or May Day celebrates the contribution and sacrifice of workers to and for society. However, in India, people started observing the day from 01 May 1923 after the Labour Kisan Party of Hindustan initiated and Comrade Singaravelar helmed the celebrations. For the first time, May Day was celebrated in India in the year 1923 in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. May Day or Labour Day is celebrated in order to pay respect to the working class, which was once asked to work for more than 8 hours a day and was paid less. The day is exclusively dedicated to workers who should know their rights. May Day is basically a festival for workers across the globe and it respects them. It is also a traditional northern hemisphere spring festival. Today for the very first time in our institution, we celebrated Workers' Day to thank our support staff. The function took place virtually involving all our parents, management members, staff & students
