GST After:- Will present the country's general budget on February

New Delhi: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will present the country's general budget on February 1 next year. After the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST), it will be the first budget of the country. A senior government official said that the budget session of Parliament will start with the address of President Ramnath Kovind. This joint session of both Houses of Parliament will be held on January 30. The official said that on January 31, the Economic Survey is expected to be placed on the Table of the Lok Sabha and it is likely to present the general budget next day.

This year, Jaitley had presented the general budget for the first time on February 1, ending the British tradition of presenting the budget in late February. The reasoning is that before the beginning of the new financial year from April 1, all budget proposals will be approved so that availability of money can be ensured in time. With this change, the tradition of presenting the Railway Budget separately was also eliminated and it was merged into the general budget. The potential dates of the budget session will be different from the less than one month between the two sessions of Parliament. It is notable that the winter session of Parliament will start from December 15 and start till 5 January.
नई दिल्ली: वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली अगले साल एक फरवरी को देश का आम बजट पेश करेंगे। माल एवं सेवाकर (जीएसटी) लागू होने के बाद यह देश का पहला बजट होगा।  एक वरिष्ठ सरकारी अधिकारी ने बताया कि संसद का बजट सत्र राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद के अभिभाषण से शुरू होगा। संसद के दोनों सदनों का यह संयुक्त सत्र 30 जनवरी को होगा। अधिकारी ने बताया कि 31 जनवरी को आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण के लोकसभा के पटल पर रखे जाने की उम्मीद है और उसके अगले दिन आम बजट पेश किए जाने की संभावना है।

बजट को फरवरी के अंत में प्रस्तुत किए जाने की ब्रिटिशकालीन परंपरा को खत्म करते हुए इस साल जेटली ने पहली बार आम बजट को एक फरवरी को पेश किया था। इसका तर्क यह है कि एक अप्रैल से नए वित्त वर्ष की शुरुआत से पहले सभी बजट प्रस्तावों को मंजूरी मिल जाए ताकि समय पर धन की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित की जा सके। इस बदलाव के साथ ही रेल बजट को अलग से पेश करने की परंपरा को भी समाप्त कर इसे आम बजट में ही मिला दिया गया था। बजट सत्र की संभावित तारीखों से संसद के दो सत्रों के बीच एक माह से भी कम का अंतर होगा। उल्लेखनीय है कि संसद का शीतकालीन सत्र 15 दिसंबर से शुरू होकर पांच जनवरी तक चलेगा।
